The need
The client had engineered a hardware tool for gamers to overlay audio clips onto live streams and online multiplayers games. We were tasked to develop the software to operate the system to communicate with the hardware (Internet of Things).
The challenge
Video editing: the Nordstone Design Team and Nordstone Development Team needed to collaborate together to create a seamless UI with complex functionality for the user to search, trim and save clips from their favourite YouTube videos.
Communication with hardware: to ensure the product met its users’ needs, the Nordstone Development Team needed to build software to integrate with the Internet of Things, which flawlessly communicated with the hardware with zero latency.
API integrations: to achieve the required complex functionality, the Nordstone Development Team had to integrate a myriad of APIs to support the fully fledged features of the mobile app.

The Nordstone Design Team crafted premium high fidelity designs which kept to the client’s core thesis of simplicity. Then the Nordstone Development Team built a top tier product that seamlessly integrated several APIs, including proprietary APIs – to successfully enable the users to search, trim and save their favourite clips. Producing a product which delivers significant value for DropStar’s end-users. The Nordstone Development Team went above and beyond by architecting an intelligent algorithm to produce a recommendation engine based on what the user-base was currently interested in.
